We are so excited that our very first flip house is on the market! Marlon has been flipping houses for years for other investors, but this was our first using our own financing! Hopefully we find a buyer very quickly! This project took much longer than we planned since we had so many jobs to do this summer, but it was a labor of love and I can’t wait to get it sold!!
The exterior didn’t need much work. We removed the pond in the front, changed the front door, updated the landscaping and installed new windows throughout!
Luckily the house had beautiful floors and was already an open floor plan. We refinished the floors, painted and updated the lighting fixtures. We even saved the original trim to cut cost.
Perhaps the biggest transformation was the kitchen. We actually loved the kitchen that was there, it was metal and very high end probably back in the 50’s, but we had to let it go. We opted for a white kitchen with butcher block countertops and once we found the hardwood under the laminate, we knew we had to use it. The farm sink is from Ikea, the countertops are from Ikea, the faucet was from Amazon and the shelves were from a local shop.
The deck was one of the main selling features of the home. It is HUGE! We used Deckover to clean it up.
The bathroom is small so I was able to do high end finishes and I think it turned out great!!
Not much changed in here except the light fixture.
We held off on doing the basement because we weren’t sure if we wanted to do anything with it or not. The stairs are steep and that was deterring us from doing anything downstairs. This used to be a garage so the ceilings are nice and high and we just couldn’t pass up finishing the space. I am SO glad we did!!!
